Specialists from Russia and China will jointly create a HIV vaccine
Researchers from Russia and China will work together to create a vaccine against HIV.
As reports RIA Novosti News Agency, representatives of the scientific community from the two countries reached an agreement during the «Russian-Chinese Biomedical Cooperation» forum which was held in St. Petersburg.
The vaccine will consist of several components. Scientists from Russia will provide developments in the field of a DNA vaccine creating. Since 1997, studies in this area have been conducted by scientists from St. Petersburg. The vaccine has passed the first phase of clinical tests, representative from the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University explained.
Researches were financed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
